Kitchens Without Borders / DoorDash
As the editorial lead at DoorDash, I paved the way for a number of new content streams, including a microsite spotlighting immigrant—and refugee-owned restaurants on the platform through one-minute video interviews, a social media content series, and an email campaign.
To show how the food they make connects them to their community and history, we envisioned telling each merchant’s story through one signature dish. The content series marked a breakthrough for narrative storytelling on the platform. Celebrating immigrant stories became the cornerstone of DoorDash’s refreshed brand identity in 2019, crystallizing its focus on empowering local economies, resulting in its Every Flavor Welcome campaign later that year.
